My practice explores Black identity through recurring anthropomorphic figures, symbolic narratives, and patterned environments. Drawing from personal memory, hip-hop culture, Christian iconography, and art history, I create paintings that examine faith, family, labor, performance, and transformation. Through a visual language of archetypal characters and recurring symbols, I construct a contemporary mythology that reflects the complexity, resilience, and spiritual dimensions of Black life.
